Nokia N-Gage QD MMS Dan WAP Settings

WAP:
1. Select Settings from Menu
2. Select Connections
3. Select Access points, you will be prompted with a
message: “No access points defined. Define now?”
Select Yes
4. Key in the following:
a. Connection name: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name
GPRS
b. Data bearer: GPRS
c. Access point name: internet
d. User name: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name
e. Prompt password: No
f. Password: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name
g. Authentication: Normal
h. Homepage: http://wapMobile-Service-Provider-Name.com
i. Select Options and select Advanced settings
i. Device IP address: Automatic
ii. Primary name server: ignore
iii. Second name server: ignore
iv. Proxy server address: 27.0.0.1 (Get detail from service provider)
v. Proxy port number: 8080
5. To launch Mobile-Service-Provider-Name GPRS service, go to Web in Menu
6. Select Mobile-Service-Provider-Name GPRS as the default access point in Setting
MMS:
Step 1: Configuring the WAP Setting
1. From the main menu, go to Tools > Settings > Connection > Access points
2. Select Options > New access point > Use default settings
3. Next, for each of the fields enter accordingly:
a. Connection Name: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name_MMS
b. Data Bearer: GPRS
c. Access Point Name: mms
d. Username: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name
e. Prompt password: No
f. Password: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name
g. Authentication: Normal
h. Gateway IP address: 172.018.019.011
i. Homepage: http://mmsMobile-Service-Provider-Name
j. Connection security: Off
k. Session mode: Permanent
Step 2: Configuring the Message Setting
1. From the main menu, go to Messaging
2. Select Options > Settings > Multimedia message
3. Next, for each of the fields enter accordingly:
a. Access point in use: Mobile-Service-Provider-Name_MMS (as above)
b. Secondary connection: None
c. Multimedia reception: Always On
d. On receiving msg. Retr. Immediately
e. Allow anon. Messages: No
f. Receive adverts: Yes
g. Receive report: No
h. Deny report sending: No
i. Message validity: Maximum time
j. Image size: Large
k. Default speaker: Handset
